ABOUT GWEN LILLY

I'm an artist. I think we all are. But too many of us never make our art. I'm finally making - and sharing -- mine.

Music saved my life Well, not really...sobriety did that. Recovery allowed me to finally follow through on my passion for writing and singing. It provided me the time, energy -- and more than ever the need, to create music: to process the emotions I'd been running from. To pursue the dream of the little 9 year old girl I once was. To finally share my voice and greatest joy. It's been the most fulfilling experience of my life to finally give birth to some of the music living inside me, after ignoring the call for too many years.

I'm an artist, using my voice to find out who I am. Doing it for the younger me, the journey, and for those who can't.

I've created nonprofit-in-formation for women in recovery - It's called SOBERANA, which in Taino means sovereign, independent and empowered
